Polling station
For each polling district, the municipal authority shall designate a polling station where the poll is to take place. Where possible, the municipalities shall provide room in municipal buildings (e. g. school, town hall).
The polling stations shall be selected and equipped so as to make it as easy as possible for the entire electorate, and in particular for disabled persons, to participate in the election. The municipal authorities shall announce in good time which of the polling stations are barrier-free. In larger polling districts in which the voters’ registers are divisible, voting may take place at the same time in various buildings, or in various rooms in the same building, or at various tables in the same polling station. An electoral board shall be appointed for each polling station or table. If two or more electoral boards are on duty at one polling station, the municipal authority shall designate the board responsible for maintaining public order at the polling station.
