2019 European Election: third meeting of the Federal Electoral Committee on 24 June 2019
WIESBADEN – The third meeting of the Federal Electoral Committee on the European election of 26 May 2019 will be held in Berlin on Monday, 24 June 2019. In that meeting the Federal Electoral Committee will establish the final result of the ninth election of European Parliament members from the Federal Republic of Germany (Section 18 (4) of the European Elections Act in conjunction with Section 71 of the European Electoral Regulations).
The meeting will be open to the public and start at 11 a.m. in the German Bundestag building Paul-Löbe-Haus (entrance Paul-Löbe-Allee), room PLH 4.900. Afterwards the results will be published via the Twitter channel of the Federal Returning Officer (@Wahlleiter_Bund) and at www.bundeswahlleiter.de.
Important notes:
All media representatives will require valid accreditation to enter the Bundestag buildings.
All other visitors will have to pass security checks before entering the Bundestag buildings and show their identity cards. It is advisable to register at besucher@bundeswahlleiter.de by Thursday, 20 June 2019, 6 p.m., by providing your surname, first name and date of birth. The visitors' data will be checked against the Police Information System (INPOL) and used for admission control. After the end of the visit the data will be destroyed. Please bring your valid identity card.
Those who have not registered in advance but wish to attend the meeting of the Federal Electoral Committee may come directly to the entrance of Paul-Löbe-Haus (Berlin, Paul-Löbe-Allee). These visitors should however be prepared to wait as the necessary security checks have to be carried out.
The meeting will be broadcast live on the internet at www.bundestag.de and on mobile devices. On the following day it will be available at www.bundestag.de/mediathek.
